Arnie's Back As Animated Crime-Fighter

Arnold Schwarzenegger combines politics and the big screen in his new TV series and 3D film - featuring a superheroic guy who gets things done without the constraints of laws that thwart his action.

The Hollywood action man-turned-California governor says The Governator is an animated TV show that it is a funny, action-packed, crime-fighting fantasy.

Think Bruce Wayne - the civilian tycoon behind the Batman mask - but involving a former governor who assembles a team of whiz kids to fight both crime and natural disasters.

"When I ran for governor back in 2003 and I started hearing people talking about 'The Governator', I thought the word was so cool," the 63-year-old told Entertainment Weekly.

"The word Governator combined two worlds - the world of politics and the movie world. And the cartoon brings everything together."

He added: "It combines the governor, the Terminator, the bodybuilding world, the True Lies world."
