Charlie Sheen has pleaded not guilty to domestic violence charges at a court in Colorado and has been ordered to stand trial on 21 July.
Mr Sheen, 44, was arrested while on holiday in Aspen, Colorado, on Christmas day last year.
His wife, Brooke Mueller Sheen, told police at the time he put a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her.
The star of TV show Two and a Half Men is charged with menacing, criminal mischief and assault.
Ms Mueller Sheen has previously said that she wants the charges dropped. Her lawyer, Yale Galanter, confirmed on Monday that this was still the case.
