The Harry Potter film series has toppped a poll of the biggest franchises of all time, beating James Bond and Star Wars.
The adventures of the boy wizard have taken £2.2 billion around the world, compared to £2.18 billion from the 007 films.
The six Star War films came in third place, having taken £2.08 billion at the worldwide box office.
There are still two more Potter films to be released in the next three years.
Warner Bros' domestic distribution president Dan Fellman said: "It is amazing to think what heights the franchise could reach by the end of the decade."
Each of the five Harry Potter films is also in the top 20 cinema releases in history.
