Worldwide superstar MADONNA has failed in her bid to become a top Hollywood producer.

The MUSIC singer saw her first film offering make a staggering loss in the three weeks since its Stateside release. The gangster drama TURN IT UP made only $800,000 and had been plagued by numerous problems since the start.

Costs soared when producers decided to replace their inexperienced lead actresses and failed to secure the rights to the films original title, GHETTO SUPERSTAR, after the hit record by FUGEES star PRAS. An insider revealed, "Sony music did not want a soundtrack with that title on Madonna's Maverick label. Without that title though, the movie was dead in the water".(CAZ/WNTST/PDD)
