George Wendt and John Ratzenberger, who played Norm and Cliff on Cheers, will have their day before the bar as a result of a decision by the U.S. Supreme Court on Monday to let stand an appellate court ruling reinstating their lawsuit against Paramount.

At issue is the use of two talking robots in a chain of Cheers airport bars. Wendt and Ratzenberger claim that the robots commercially exploited their likenesses without their permission. Paramount claims that the robots, named "Bob" and "Hank," do not resemble the actors.
