Gwyneth Paltrow has been named as the new face of Estee Lauder.

An advertising campaign for Pleasures fragrance featuring the 32-year-old star will begin in the autumn.

According to IMDb.com she said: "Years ago, endorsing a product was considered something a movie actress shouldn't do, but now having a contract is almost like a status symbol."

She added: "It allows me to be with my daughter, which is what I want to do until some fantastic movie role comes along and makes me change my mind."
