Courtney Cox has been signed up to appear in the comedy Zoom.

Tim Allen is also set to star in the film reports Digitalspy quoting Variety.

The film is based on Jason Lethcoe's graphic novel Zoom's Academy for the Super Gifted, which tells the story of an ex-superhero who is called upon to train the next generation of heroes.

Cox will play a scientist involved in the superhero programme.

The movie begins shooting in July.
