Hollywood veteran PAUL NEWMAN is to play BATMAN - at the age of 75.
THE BUTCH CASSIDY AND THE SUNDANCE KID star will take on the part of the CAPED CRUSADER in a new twist on the original plot, portraying Batman as a 'retired' crime buster. He eventually hands over the role to a young newcomer, TERRY MCGINNIS, a part yet to be cast. Paul says, "It's hard to believe that I'll be playing Batman at 75. It's not the usual story though, it's going to be futuristic, stuff."
Movie bosses are hoping to persuade SPEED star KEANU REEVES to take the role of McGinnis. (CAZ/WNTSU/PDD)
