Moore's 'Sicko' film to tackle US health industry

Michael Moore is planning to tackle America's health industry in a new movie tentatively called Sicko.

And, he's also working on a sequel to his award-winning Fahrenheit 9/11.

Fahrenheit 9/11 1/2 will be about George W Bush's second term as president.

In Sicko, Moore plans to spotlight abuse in America's health insurance companies, HMOs (health management organisations), the Food and Drug Administration and the country's drug companies.

The documentary filmmaker told the Los Angeles Times: "Being screwed by your HMO and

ill-served by pharmaceutical companies is the shared American experience.

"
The system, inferior to that of much poorer nations, benefits the few at the expense of the many."

Speaking about Fahrenheit 9/11 1/2, Moore said: "
One bad sequel deserves a good one. What form it takes depends on the 'improvisation' of my lead actor.

"I'm more than happy to share residuals with him if he'd sit down with me for 10 minutes."

Earlier this year Fahrenheit 9/11 won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival.
