Tom tops money-making poll


Tom Hanks has been named 2004's top money-making film star.

He topped the Quigley Publishing Company's annual poll amongst exhibitors asking them to vote for the best revenue-makers in their cinemas.

Hanks has been in top place five times and within the top ten eleven times reports Digitalspy.

Last year he featured in four films: The Polar Express, Elvis Has Left The Building, The Terminal and The Ladykillers.

Second place in the poll was Tom Cruise, who has won six times and been in the list seventeen times. Third was Leonardo DiCaprio and tenth was Adam Sandler.
