Keira Knightley has been voted the sexiest film star of all time.

The 19-year-old beat Hollywood stars like Angelina Jolie (2nd) and Halle Berry (4th) to the title in a poll by Empire magazine.

Knightley, who starred in Bend It Like Beckham and Pirates Of The Caribbean, also pipped legends like Marilyn Monroe (6) and Audrey Hepburn (23) to top the list of the 100 Sexiest Movie Stars.

Another Briton, Lord Of The Rings star Orlando Bloom, is the highest ranking male in third, says The Sun.

When the Empire poll was last carried out six years ago, Titanic star Kate Winslet was top. She's now ranked 35th.

Johnny Depp is second sexiest male in fifth. But stars like Sandra Bullock, Sharon Stone, Mel Gibson and Kim Basinger have dropped out of the list altogether
