Justin Timberlake reportedly wants to star in the forthcoming Muppets movie.

The star is said to be desperate to land a cameo role in the latest Muppets film, The Wizard of Oz.

The upcoming film stars R'n'B singer Ashanti as a modern day version of Dorothy Gale, while Kermit The Frog will play her loveable companion the Scarecrow and Miss Piggy stars as the Wicked Witch of the West.

Cult film director Quentin Tarantino and Queen Latifah have already been signed up for a cameo role.

Kirk R Thatcher, who directed the Very Muppet Christmas Movie will take the helm again.
