Kurt Russell and Kelly Preston are to star in a new superhero film by Walt Disney Pictures.

The teen comedy Sky High will be directed by Mike Mitchell.

Hollywood Reporter says the film centres around a high school for 'superpowered' teens in a world where superheroes are an everyday occurrence.

Russell and Preston will play Cmdr. Stronghold and Josie Jetstream, the parents of a boy attending the school.

Michael Angarano has been cast as their son, a possible future hero.
