Thora Birch and Giovanni Ribisi have joined the cast of The Triangle.

According to Comingsoon they will star alongside Lena Olin and Lynn Redgrave.

Set in small-town America in 1962, the sexy thriller centres on steamy events that occur when a mother, her daughter and the mother's best friend all become involved with a charming drifter who happens onto the island.

The film, based on the short story Aurora Island by Marianne Gingher, is scheduled to shoot in Ireland this Autumn.
