Mel Gibson is in talks to star in an action drama based on the true story of an undercover agent who infiltrates a vicious motorcycle gang.
Warner Bros' Under and Alone centres on Billy Queen, who infiltrated the notorious and violent Mongols Motorcycle Club for three years.
As an officer of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, Queen's undercover work leads to more than 80 arrests. Afterwards he enters the witness protection program.
Queen is to release his autobiography, also called Under and Alone, in June, according to Hollywood Reporter.
The news comes after Gibson's latest movie Mad Max: Fury Road was halted because of concerns over the war in Iraq.
