Cate Blanchett is to portray Hollywood great Katharine Hepburn in a movie featuring legendary film stars from Hollywood's golden age.
Called The Aviator, the movie will follow the life and times of reclusive billionaire filmmaker Howard Hughes.

Leonardo DiCaprio has signed on to play Hughes, often referred to as "the world's greatest womaniser", and Kate Beckinsale is likely to play screen goddess Ava Gardner.

The Aviator, which begins filming next month, opens with Hughes making Hell's Angels, his classic 1930 movie about RAF fighter aces.
