Kidman Tries To Put An End To Jude Rumours

NICOLE Kidman has given what she hopes will be the final word on the subject of her rumoured romance with Jude Law.
"It's not true," she insisted to reporters before the British premiere of Hours, The (2002) in London.

Arriving at the pre-screening reception at Terence Conran's Bluebird restaurant, Kidman winced when she was asked if she and Law were an item.

She declared: "No, we are not."

For the past 10 days, Kidman, 35, has endured a storm of reports that she captivated her Cold Mountain (2003) co-star which led to his marriage problems with wife Sadie Frost, 37.

All three have denied the existence of an affair but it seems that Law and Frost are now headed for the divorce courts.

Just before Kidman's arrival at the premiere on the arm of director Stephen Daldry, Law, 30, issued a statement pleading for privacy in this "difficult time".

"While we truly appreciate the concern the media has shown towards us, we ask that you now please give us the privacy we eagerly need so that we can put our lives in order," the statement said.

Kidman yesterday added her voice to the call for privacy.

"I think we need to respect their privacy. It's not true but I don't think it's right for me to say anything more."

Will this be the final word on the subject? Somehow we doubt it.
