Reports have emerged that whilst in Romania filming new film Cold Mountain (2003), Jude Law got into a scuffle whist trying to get into his car.

Suspicious Senator Dinu Patriciu thought that Law was trying to steal his brother's car and tried to punch him. The confusion arose when the Senator recognised the car as belonging to his brother, it had however been sold to a rental company and was being used by the actor.

Law's bodyguard was on hand to look after him and no charges were pressed.
