British actress ALEX KINGSTON will never return to her native land to live - because she thinks the country is too insular.

The former wife of RALPH FIENNES emigrated to the United States for a part in ER - and now she's LA-based, Kingston doesn't think she'll ever move back.

She says, "When ER ends, I probably won't want to return to England. I'll work there, I'm not washing my hands of my own country. "But there's an amazing energy here. The country is enormous. England is so insular. "I don't know if I'll apply for citizenship. But I've been here on a visa. Now I'm applying for my green card."
