Liz Hurley Stalker Cleared

A man accused of stalking Elizabeth Hurley has been released after all charges against him were today (19APR02) dropped.
Petar Mihajlovic was arrested outside the actress's London home
earlier this month (4 April 2002) - just hours after the birth of her son, Damian Charles.
He was charged under British law's Prevention of Harassment Act and remanded in custody.

But the charge was today dropped due to lack of evidence.
Mihajlovic, 32, who lives in France, said after the news, "I am
going back to France this afternoon."

"I am not going to see Miss Hurley today. I have an appointment
in August in California with her. She is a friend of mine. She is
my friend, I know (she is)."

"She said no to the police - no complaint about me. I am free. It
is six months (in jail) for the harassment of someone in this
country, if you are guilty."

"I am going to phone (Miss Hurley) about my appointment with her in California. No more London."
Mihajlovic was first arrested in December 2001 after Hurley's
former beau Hugh Grant told police he had been sending the star abusive letters telling her to abort her baby.
