Plastic surgery has turned Priscilla Presley from Elvis Presley's pretty ex-wife into a monster, insist friends.

According to American tabloid the Star, the Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!, The (1988) actress's latest stab at staying young has given her an eerie permanent smile, like the Joker - the bizarre bad guy Jack Nicholson made famous in the 80's movie Batman (1989).

A source says, "Priscilla really does look like the Joker. This isn't about ageing gracefully. This is about clinging to lost youth with a scalpel. She's had a little here and a little bit there and it has all added up to give her this comic-book look. It's a disaster."

Friends say Priscilla was driven to have more plastic surgery because of a fear of growing old. Her boyfriend, Brazilian-born writer and producer Marco Garibaldi, 46, is 10 years younger than her - and she's very aware of the age difference.
