Dennis Quaid Falls Off The Wagon

Hollywood actor DENNIS QUAID has picked up the bottle again after yet another failed romance. His renewed interest in alcohol was displayed in full view of patrons at West Hollywood's The Lounge nightclub on 16 January (2001). Quaid, 47, who was once married to MEG RYAN, was there for a gig with his band, The Sharks. But the man who played rock 'n' roller Jerry Lee Lewis in GREAT BALLS OF FIRE! (1989) also spent time by the bar looking for solace in top-shelf vodka.

One witness says, "He was acting crazy. During the performance, he got on the floor while playing the guitar. He simulated sex at the end of one song, screaming out and everything. I thought he was acting like a 17-year-old garage-band kid. "

After the set, a woman offered to buy the star a drink and he promptly responded, "That'll be Grey Goose vodka - straight up!" KATE & LEOPOLD (2002) beauty Ryan, 40, told Quaid to get on the wagon before she finally agreed to tie the knot with him in 1991. But in 2000, their marriage collapsed after the actress began an affair with RUSSELL CROWE. Late last year (2001) Quaid started dating Playboy pin-up Shanna Moakler, but their relationship was short-lived, which pals say forced him back on the booze.
