Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) star DANIEL RADCLIFFE is a young man in demand - he's now "the hottest child star since MACAULAY CULKIN". The 12-year-old plays the boy wizard in the series of fantasy films, the first of which, last year's (2001) HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER'S STONE (2001), proved phenomenally successful - and is now being chased to star in a number of high-profile projects.
A movie source told website ANANOVA, "Casting directors and producers are falling over themselves to get Daniel's name on the dotted line. He is the hottest child star since Macaulay Culkin arrived on the scene. " Producers of new supernatural film Sam, about a boy with telekinetic powers, are reportedly desperate to secure the services of Radcliffe, whose big screen experience before Harry Potter consisted only of a minor part in the Tailor of Panama, The (2001). JUDY DAVIS and Steve Buscemi have already been signed up for the film, produced by MIKE DOWNEY and SAM TAYLOR. (CPT/WNWCAN)
