Director John Boorman has publicly taken his crew of mostly Irish technicians to task for spending more time with prostitutes while on location in Panama on his latest film than working on the film itself, the online Showbiz Ireland reported today.
Boorman, who is filming The Tailor of Panama, was quoted by the site as saying, "I sent a construction crew from Ireland to build certain things, and when I came back nothing had happened. It turned out they were spending a lot of time in these brothels and were too exhausted to work."
The online publication said that star Pierce Brosnan and Sony execs were "shocked" by Boorman's accusations.
