Film character HARRY POTTER is really on a giant see-saw when he appears to be flying in the magical movie. An extra on the blockbuster movie HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER'S STONE (2001) has revealed star DANIEL RADCLIFFE sat on a bicycle seat on one end of the playground staple, with his broom taped beside him, in order to achieve the illusion of flight.

Crew then held down the see-saw's other end so he hovered high above the ground. Film extra JAY JAHAL, 13, of Birtley, Tyne & Wear, England, got $910 (£700) for four weeks' work on the film set at ALNWICK CASTLE in Northumberland, England. (BRC/WNTSU/NFA)
