An unknown actor will be stepping into the lead role for the sequel to Final destination (2000), in which a boy has premonitions about dying and attempts to change fate and cheat death.

Returning to the set will be Ali Larter, who played the role of Clear River, a strange girl, who managed to defy the laws of nature in the first film, unlike her friends who consecutively died.

Director David Ellis will be taking over production.
