The American flag is selling out in Hollywood as celebrities join the nationwide rush to fly the star spangled banner. Stars including action hero ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER, KIRK DOUGLAS and TOM HANKS are all flying the flag outside their luxury homes in tribute to the victims of the New York and Washington disasters. Muscleman Arnie - whose new $52 million (£40 million) terrorist attack movie COLLATERAL DAMAGE has been dropped following the terror - dubbed the New York fire and police services as "heroes. "
He added, "I play action heroes - but they're the true action heroes. " Stunning X-MEN (2000) star HALLE BERRY hung a red, white and blue decoration on her door, while ANTONIO BANDERAS and SIR ANTHONY HOPKINS also hung tribute banners. Not to be outdone rapper KID ROCK flew the flag on his Cadillac and TRUE LIES (1994) actress JAMIE LEE CURTIS displayed the stars and stripes in her Mercedes. (AH/WNTSU/RP)
