Hollywood actors took to their cars after the recent (11SEP01) attacks on America, and made cross-country treks to be with their families. Many American actors were stranded at the TORONTO FILM FESTIVAL last week, when airports were closed and they had no way of getting home.

BENJAMIN BRATT cancelled all interviews before hiring a car and driving hundreds of miles so he could be with his mother in New York. FRIENDS star DAVID SCHWIMMER, SALMA HAYEK and DAVID ARQUETTE hired a car together and drove to Chicago where they waited for the next flight to LA so they could be with their loved ones.
