Date: 15th September 2001
A Hollywood dinner in honour of NICOLAS CAGE has been postponed due to the American terrorist attacks. The American Cinematheque event was due to take place at the Beverly Hilton on 22 September (01). Cage was to be presented with the 16th Annual Cinematheque Award at the event, to mark his film career.
After the postponement of the dinner, one director explained, "I think we all felt the same way. It was not a moment to gather because nobody feels like celebrating. I think his career deserves to be celebrated, and we want to do it when everyone is in a better mood. " (NFA/WNWCAN)
