KATE WINSLET's estranged husband JIM THREAPLETON can take comfort in the certainty he won't be homeless after the couple's divorce - he'll get their $1 million (£720,000) home. The unhappy pair's luxury riverside home in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey in England, has been put on the market and the TITANIC (1997) actress is expected to let her assistant director spouse keep the proceeds form the sale in a one-off payment.
Kate - who's reportedly worth $7. 15 million (£5. 5 million) - left the converted pumphouse after the collapse of their three-year marriage, and returned to the north London flat she used to share with her sister, ANNA. Jim meanwhile, was spotted drowning his sorrows at a bar in London's trendy Notting Hill Gate area last night (5SEP01).
One worker at the pub says, "He wasn't in tears. He was just sitting there looking quite serious, having a few drinks. " Kate's soon-to-be ex is expected to get up to a total of $2. 6 million (£2 million) in the final divorce settlement. (KW/WNTMI/PDD)
