Pseudo Shut Down

Suggesting to some analysts that the novelty of watching moving images on personal computers may be wearing off, Pseudo programs Inc., one of the first companies to produce video content for the Internet, announced Monday that it had called it quits.

All 175 employees of the company were let go. News reports noted that although the company had been shelling out up to $2 million a month to produce content on the Web, it was attracting relatively few viewers.

Meanwhile, Inside, the online entertainment news site, reported today (Tuesday) that Stan Lee Media, the Internet animation site, is laying off 19 staffers, about 20 percent of its production staff.
