Confused american fans bombarded websites dedicated to Irish actor PETER O'TOOLE after he went on a TV show to talk about old age and plans for his send-off.
Tributes poured in after the LAWRENCE OF ARABIA (1962) star spoke on an hour-long CBS special. He first spoke about the death of SPENCER TRACY and his close friendship with KATHaRINE HEPBURN.
He then told how he had already chosen his own epitaph. One message read, "I can't believe he's gone. What a man, what a talent. "
A British-run site later issued a statement reassuring fans that O'Toole was still very much alive. (RXT/ISM/KMW)
