Sex and singing epic MOULIN ROUGE (2001) has taken the top honours at the Hollywood Film Festival awards. It won Best Film, as well as Best Actress for NICOLE KIDMAN and Best Actor for EWAN McGREGOR.
BAZ LUHRMANN's latest offering beat off challenges from BRIDGET JONES'S DIARY (2001), PEARL HARBOR (2001), SHREK (2001), MEMENTO (2000) and BLOW (2001) to win the best film category. Film fans across America voted in the annual awards for the first time. (NFA/WNWCAN/ES)
