Movie veteran JACK NICHOLSON proposed to LARA FLYNN BOYLE - after fuming at her flirtations with actor ERIC DANE.

The three-times OSCAR winner seethed with jealously after his on- off TWIN PEAKS star lover was spotted getting friendly with BALL AND CHAIN TV actor Eric.

According to American tabloid THE NATIONAL ENQUIRER, Lara was won over by the AS GOOD AS IT GETS (1997) legend, after an earlier feud because Lara wanted Jack to commit. (ES/NE/IG)
