The PRINCE OF WALES has attended the film premiere of final fantasy: The Spirits Within (2001) as guest of honour to raise money for THE PRINCE'S TRUST CYMRU charity. The Royal joined a host of popular figures for the British debut of the first-ever totally computer-generated image film at the new UGC cinema in Cardiff, Wales.
Final Fantasy is directed by HIRoNoBU SAKAGUCHI, who created the SONY PLAYSTATION computer game series of the same name, and features voice-overs by actors ALEC BALDWIN, STEVE BUSCEMI, DONALD SUTHERLAND, JAMES WOODS, MING NA and VING RHAMES.
Set in the year 2065, the movie tells the story of a group of people who must join forces to combat an enemy threatening to exterminate all life on Earth. All proceeds from the evening will go directly towards supporting thousands of young people in Wales overcome all sorts of barriers to reach their full potential. (KW/WNWCAN)
