Hollywood icon KATHARINE HEPBURN has been hospitalised with a mysterious illness. The legendary actress was admitted to HARTFORD HOSPITAL in Connecticut, American on Wednesday (18JUl01).

The ON GOLDEN POND (1981) star, 94, has several health problems, including PARKINSON'S DISEASE, however the hospital has not disclosed what is ailing Hepburn currently. Hospital spokesman JAMES BATTAGLIO says she is in a stable condition and disclosed a comment from the OSCAR winner's doctor. Battaglio says,

"His feeling is that if she continues to respond to medication she should be discharged in the next couple of days. " (ES/WNWR/IG)
