DAVID DUCHOVNY hasn't been shy about showing off his bottom on film, and now the former X FILES star has turned his bum into art pieces.

The actor's wife Téa Leoni persuaded the actor, who moons in summer comedy movie EVOLUTION (2001), to try a little posterior painting in aid of one of her favourite animal rights charities. She says,

"I put the paint brilliantly and artistically all over his backside and then he sort of sat on the canvas or spanked it. " Tea admits she's thrilled with the finished items and has kept one, but donated the rest to an unnamed charity, who will auction off Duchovny's signed bum pictures later this year (01).

She adds, "He has a beautiful butt and I'm happy to share it with the rest of the world. " (KL/LAFR/PDD)
