American TV networks are being offered the television rights for the new HARRY POTTER film - for a staggering $64million (£49million).

HARRY POTTER AND THE PHILOSOPHER'S STONE has not even been completed yet, but studio bosses feel confident enough to demand the huge sum - more than double the previous record set by TITANIC (1997).

Competing TV bosses will not even get to see the movie - which is currently being shot in Britain - before they sign the deal. (IG/WNTSP/KMW)
