A modern adaptation of OTHELLO has been gathering dust in a film studio - despite having stars such as JULIA STILES and JOSH HARTNETT.

The young actors starred in O (2001), based on the WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE's legendary play, in 1999.

However because of the high-school violence in the film, the release date keeps getting pushed back because of the various school killings in America.

Distributors are planning to release O at the end of August (01), but will have to be prepared to pull it, if another tragedy occurs. (ES/HET/PDD)
