Kubrick Was Ignorant Of Tom & Nicole's Problems
The widow of STANLEY KUBRICK believes her husband would have been shocked by TOM CRUISE and NICOLE KIDMAN's divorce.
CHRISTIANE KUBRICK's husband directed the ill-fated couple in EYES WIDE SHUT (1999), shortly before his death in March 1999.
She says, "It's always tempting to want everything to fit. But I'm certain that Stanley did not know what fate had in store for Tom and Nicole. Stanley would have been surprised by the breakup, and he would have been sad to see them apart. During the time I spent with them in England, they didn't strike me as unhappy." (ES/WNWDN/KW)
