Die Hard Director Refuses Douglas' Period Drama
DIE HARD (1988) director JOHN McTIERNAN has reportedly turned down the opportunity to direct Hollywood couple MICHAEL DOUGLAS and CATHERINE ZETA JONES in a new film.
The husband and wife team are set to star in the period drama SMOKE AND MIRRORS. McTiernan was thought to be committed to the project, but has reportedly pulled out due to "insurmountable business differences". No other director has yet been linked with the movie. (RP/WNWCAN/NFA)
