Travolta Refuses To Look Back In Anger

Actor JOHN TRAVOLTA will never regret his movie flops - because he adores his career. The SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER (1977) star almost sank into obscurity in the 1980s, after a series of box office bombs which included STAYING ALIVE and TWO OF A KIND.

And the Hollywood idol insists he's not concerned about turning down roles in hit films AMERICAN GIGOLO (1980), Officer and A Gentleman, An (1982) and SPLASH (1984).

He says, "I love my career. I love the bravado of it. Sometimes it works great, sometimes it works good and sometimes it doesn't work. "

When Travolta was hailed as the comeback kid after starring in QUENTIN TARRANTINO's cult gangster flick PULP FICTION (1994), he was tempted to point out he'd been working steadily for the last two decades. He adds, "I kept saying, 'Well, you know, I've actually been around. ' But Quentin told me, 'Leave it alone. Don't you get it? They're doing you a favour.'" (RP/WNWCNT/NFA)
