SYLVESTER STALLONE is thanking his lucky stars he got the chance to work with his hero ANTHONY QUINN before his death at the weekend (03JUN01).
The OSCAR-winning actor, 86, died at BRIGHAM AND WOMEN'S HOSPITAL in Boston, America. Quinn amassed 150 feature films, and managed to complete his latest project, AVENGING ANGELO (2001), before he was taken ill.
Stallone says it was a pleasure working with the screen great, and he's honoured his film was Quinn's last. He says, "I've turned down the chance to meet and work with so many of my heroes - CHAPLIN, ELVIS - and lived to regret it, but Anthony Quinn is like an idol. He's a great man and I really enjoyed working with him. " (KL/WN/NFA)
