Kung fu movie man JACKIE CHAN is set to star in the most expensive film ever made in Hong Kong.
SUN TZU's ART OF WAR is expected to cost between $70 million (£53. 84 million) and $80 million (£61. 53 million) and will be shot in Mandarin.
Art of War is based on Chinese warrior Sun Tzu's essays, written more than 2,000 years ago. The essays attempted to formulate a rational basis for the planning and conduct of military operations.
Chan says he expects to use between up to two million extras for the war scenes. He says, "We want to do it without the help of computer effects. I hope that the results will rival computer effects scenes in Hollywood movies. I wanted to do something Chinese and find a story that people would understand. " (RP/WNWCAN/KMW)
