Josh Harnett Couldn't Have Fought In WW2

JOSH HARTNETT is sure he could never be as strong as his character in PEARL HARBOR (2001) - because he doubts he's brave enough.

The 22-year-old actor is two years older than the average age of fighter pilots during World War II - and even with a few more years of experience, Hartnett doubts he could be as brave as those who fought in the war.

He says, "I know that I couldn't do it. I couldn't command anybody, I wouldn't be a very good officer. I look back and I know that I am a lot more mature than I was two years ago but what I would do is curl up in a little ball and cry myself to sleep. Hopefully I would kick in and be a strong soldier but I try to keep myself away from situations like that as much as possible. " (MB/WNV/RP)
