Grunge queen COURTNEY LOVE has suffered a tragic miscarriage.

The blonde actress was filming her new movie 24 HOURS (2002) in Vancouver when she was sent to hospital by the film's director.

Her spokeswoman confirms, "It was very early on in the pregnancy. She had been in distress for several days. She'd been working very hard. "

The People Vs. Larry Flynt, The (1996) star is keeping mum on the subject of the baby's father, but pals say she's being comforted by ex-love manager JIM BARBER.
