Big-hearted actor TOM HANKS has lent his signature to a mobile phone company - for charity.
The CAST AWAY (2000) star joins Hollywood legends UMA THURMAN, JOHNNY DEPP and ELIZABETH TAYLOR in having his scrawl hand-engraved on a limited number of MOTOROLA'S new V-SERIES 60C cell phones.
The phones will be auctioned later this month (MAY01) to raise money for AIDS research in connection with AmFAR's A DIAMOND IS FOREVER: CINEMA AGAINST AIDS benefit in Cannes. (NFA/WNWCPS/RP)
