captain corelli's Mandolin (2001) star CHRISTIAN BALE has had enough of Greek food, after he threw himself into the research for his part.
Christian plays a Greek fisherman in the movie so before he started filming he decided to spend a month brushing up his accent in Greek restaurants. "I would get the waiters to read lines from the script for me and then try to copy their accent," he says. "Unfortunately, I ended up sounding more like a Russian than a Greek, so I did have to have voice coaching too. "
After all that, Christian spent four months filming in Cephalonia and so had to eat even more Greek food. (KAB/WNSMI/PDD)
