When BJORK and Danish director LARS VON TRIER fought on the set of their flick - DANCER IN THE DARK - it was co-star CATHERINE DENEUVE who acted as peace maker.
Bjork and Von Trier teamed up for the HUMAN BEHAVIOUR singer's acting debut in the PALME D'OR-winning movie, DANCER IN THE DARK, and the wacky Dane has admitted to a massive power struggle between them.
And, while co-star Deneuve understood why the pair were fighting, she admits it wasn't always easy.
Deneuve says, "It was hard for me because I couldn't get to what she was feeling. She wasn't a princess it was just difficult for her personally.
"I told her that what she felt was normal - normal for what we were doing in the film. When we had finished I told her that it wasn't always like this and it was the first time for me too. But even if she understood that it didn't change her feelings."
Deneuve adds, "One great thing about Von Trier and Bjork is that they were honest. They didn't pretend."
