Christian Learns To Fish On Captain Corelli Set
CHRISTIAN BALE learned to fish on the set of new movie Captain CORELLI'S MANDOLIN (2001).
Scenes from the film, which also stars NICOLAS CAGE and gorgeous Penélope CRUZ, required AMERICAN PSYCHO (2000) star Bale to learn the ancient skill.
He says, "It's actually quite difficult to get the fishing nets to fall in a full circle, and every fisherman on the dock had his own style. "They were all very possessive of their nets, and gave me a ratty old one to practise with until they though I was good enough. "In the end I had to develop my own hybrid style." (AW/WNSTE/RP)
